Originally created in 2009 to celebrate the The Doorways’ 25th anniversary, SAVOR has grown into one of the most anticipated annual events in Richmond. SAVOR brings together award-winning chefs from coast to coast and around the world for an epicurean evening—all to benefit The Doorways. Guests are treated to a unique gourmet dining experience, silent and live auctions featuring fine wines, gracious home entertainment packages, dinners at top restaurants, and travel and sports options.

SAVOR 2018 will take place on Saturday, October 6th at The Jefferson Hotel.

headlining chef! 

Chef Ben Ford, owner of the acclaimed L.A.-based restaurant, Ford’s Filling Station, and author of Taming the Feast: Ben Ford’s Field Guide to Adventurous Cooking will join us as our headlining chef for SAVOR’s 10th Anniversary!

His acclaimed restaurant concept, Ford’s Filling Station, is based on the fundamentals of teaching, cooking and foraging, and was awarded the prestigious Cochon555 prize. Despite all the accolades and achievements, it’s the large-scale home entertaining he grew up with that’s fueling his current passion. His cookbook, Taming the Feast: Ben Ford’s Field Guide to Adventurous Cooking, focuses not only on bringing people together to eat good, sustainable organic food, but gathering lots – and lots – of people together to eat sumptuous feasts.”
